Corpus Research Centre (CRC) envisions addressing local and global issues of wide range embedded in various discourses, such as, academic discourse, political discourse, legal discourse, media discourse, discourse of health care and workplace discourse through corpus-based teaching and research.
CRC’s mission is to build strong academic and social nexus at national and international level with various disciplines of knowledge including social sciences, arts, humanities, engineering, and medicine. Moreover, disseminating knowledge of Corpus Linguistics through teaching and research is the major aim of Corpus Research Centre. CRC intends to create and establish its space in knowledge industry of the world and to contribute into the knowledge economy of Pakistan.
CRC aims to promote this emerging field of inquiry not only in different areas of linguistics and literature and contribute in multidisciplinary research through corpus-based approaches, methods and techniques. This goal is achieved through corpus-based research projects, hands-on workshops, seminars, symposium, international conferences and publishing a research journal. In this regard, our flagship project was the development of corpus of English used in Pakistan titled as Pakistan National Corpus of English (PNCE) launched in April, 2019
.Corporum is pleased to announce the call for papers for the upcoming issue of Corporum: Journal of Corpus Linguistics. Corporum is a biannual and double-blind peer-reviewed journal which is the first Corpus Linguistics Journal in Pakistan. Corporum aims at providing new research territory for corpus-based researches at national and international levels. We publish applied researches on issues related to usage based spoken and written data around the world. It has many renowned corpus linguists of the world on its advisory and editorial board.
