International Cooperation office (ICO) was established in Air University in 2008. Internationalization of higher education, research and innovation systems is at the core of educational quality enhancement.
The International Cooperation Office (ICO) has a proactive take on the added significance and importance of ongoing globalization. It has diversified, in terms of formats -- including personal exchange, data exchange, bilateral workshops, international conferences, joint research centers, project base joint research groups, joint laboratories – the global outreach of the university. It has made industrial linkages for transnational research and technology transfer with a number of international universities.
The management at Air University also realizes that International educational cooperation is a means for enhancing and fostering an international atmosphere on the university’s campuses, thus promoting personal growth, tolerance and understanding of global responsibility among university members.
In view of the vision and mission of Air University, AU International Cooperation Office is responsible for the internationalization process at Air University (AU). This includes promotion, coordination and facilitation of following:
In line with the vision and mission of Air University, International Cooperation Office of AU will build firm collaborative linkages with well reputed universities of the world in order to have tangible outputs in the form of faculty exchanges, student exchanges and to promote and facilitate collaborative research.
Knowledge is immensely expanding each moment, and the scholarly circle is becoming rapidly globalized. In 2008, the International Cooperation Office (ICO) was set up at Air University, Islamabad. Ever since its inception, ICO’s core responsibility has been to make headway for AU’s learning value, prestige, and global linkages.
Our chief ambition at ICO has been to implant and cultivate academic, research, and cultural affiliations with Higher Education Institutes from around the world. We explore and pursue worldwide opportunities for students, faculty, and staff as well as offer them support and counseling on prevailing opportunities and programs.
Our vision is to incorporate global and intercultural aspects with in the university environment. We aspire to genuinely attune into AU’s teaching/learning objectives, a global intercultural attire.
