REGISTRAR
Air university (AU), a federally chartered public sector university devoted to academic excellence in teaching and research, invites applications from suitably qualified and adequately experienced Pakistani Nationals (Male / Female) to fill the position of REGISTRAR at its main campus Islamabad.

The Role and Responsibilities:

TheRegistrar is responsible to the Vice Chancellor for the day to day academicfunctioning of the University, and particularly the Registration Department. He/ She also serve as Secretary to the AU Board of Governors. He / She thecustodian of the common seal and the academic records of the University. He /She is also responsible for;

Processing of admissionof students in all AU Under Graduate (UG) and Post Grad (PG) programs.

Processing of migration,relegation, suspension and withdrawal cases of all UG and PG student.

Arranging and smoothconduct of AU’s convocation ceremonies, as and when held.

Issue of transcripts anddegrees to UG and PG students.

All matters pertainingto University dues including deposit, refund and deferment of tuition fee aswell as award of financial assistance / scholarships.

Dealing with alldiscipline / legal matters of the University.


Experience & Skills:

15 years of experienceat senior management level preferably having 05 years of experience in Teaching/ Research at higher educational institutions.

Possess and displaysound administrative leadership, initiative and creativity in policyformulation and excellent interpersonal relations & resource managementskills.

Be computer literate,well versed with Information and Communication Technology and familiar withrules of business in higher education institutions.

 

Terms of Appointment for Registrar position only:

The Registrar shall holdoffice for a period of three (03) years in first instance beginning from theeffective date of his appointment and on such terms and conditions as may bespecified in the letter of appointment, which may be renewed, subject tosatisfactory performance, until the incumbent attains 65 years of age.

Required Qualification PhD / MS / MSc or equivalent, from HEC recognized University / Institute.
